I need a new charger for my rR61e ThinkPad after the old one has burnt out for some reason. I can't find a listing on the Lenovo website for a charger for my model. Just wondering if they're all the same?

This should be the one that you will need. http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/...-category-id=4364BD0F20B94413B5AD6E684D2848E9
You might want to send them an email just to double check. If you have your old charger there should be a tag on it with the product number. Check to see if it is the same as the one I linked.

I think back in the day they used to be interchageable meaning you could use X charger on a T series, but I believe that is no longer true.

This one says it works with the R60 series. Alot cheaper than Lenovo's website too. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0DMFAE44SFC95HDVSQSA

There are two now -- 65 watt and 90 watt -- that work with the T and X series anyway. Smaller machines + those w/o discrete graphics use the 65W, more demanding machines use the 90W. I'd recommend looking in the thinkpad accessories section of the lenovo site to see what is recommended for your exact model code, or check the Hardware Maintenance Manual for the part number of the adapter for your machine.
ThinkPad chargers - all the same?
