So ... I've noticed the four mouse buttons in the pictures before, and I thought it ws strange. Today, I went to check them (the computers - not the buttons) out in person, and I still couldn't figure it out. Are they just so you have the option of cliking above the touchpad or below it?

The buttons above the touchpad are intended to be used along with the trackpoint, and the ones below with the touchpad. But of course, you can use whichever you wish.

and the middle button above the touchpad is used in conjunction with the pointing stick.

hold in the center mouse button, push up on the pointing stick and the screen will scroll up, pull down and the screen scrolls down. the cool thing is the harder you push on the stick the fast the scroll.

double click the center scroll and it "locks" and you can simply use the pointing stick to scroll up, down very easily. single click the center button to unlock the scroll.

    i love that feature.

Sorry for diverging from the topic at hand, but does anyone know if Lenovo has plans to offer a touchpad on any of their 12.1" ThinkPads?

I programmed my left lower left mouse button to jump to "Start" and the lower right to minimize the current web page.
