I noticed the Lenovo website tries to say the MC7750 isn't compatible with the w530. I cannot see how this can be an accurate claim. The GOBI 3000 is almost -- identical. So which one of you fine members here decided to live on the wild side and slap a GOBI 4000 in their w530?

While searching around I found this little guy. My next question would be, if the mc7750 can work in the w530, what are some opinions regarding cramming the antenna under the hood? Possible?

I looks like it may fit rather nicely in the GPS port.

The info below was made for Toughbooks but I'm pretty sure the "Sierra Wireless Watcher Connection Manager isn't device specific.

    So what do you think?

@ToughBreaK is it whitelisted? If not, you'll have to defeat that first. AUX antenna usually works for GPS too. Given the sheer size of w530, I believe you will definitely find an option to cram it inside, if you need it. A compact Wi-Fi antenna should work for GPS too.
