    Hey,

Does anyone know anything about the X60? Looks like an excellent deal for an ultraportable with a duo core processor.

I'm not too sure what a "TFT" screen means. Is this good or bad? I noticed the other laptop I was looking at (ThinkPad x41) has an XGA screen. What's the difference.

Thin Film Transitor refers to a number of technologies used to implement the LCD screen. Subtypes include Twisted Nematic and IPS (forget what that means).

XGA refers to the resolution of the screen, not the technology used to implement it.

The X60 is so new you'll probably have to wait a bit for some reviews. It does look pretty sweet though.

Here are some X60 preview images from a Korean site ( click here and scroll down). IMO the X60 series still looks stylish, even I miss the so familiar color stripes and usual TP access button forms...

...which always were immediately eye catching (see for example the above X41Tablet and X41 side by side).

Couple of nice pics that might help to get an idea of size. Found these on a Korean site too, very sweet :)

    Beautiful, indeed.

But the 15" T-series look the best. Smooth and elegant. But you sacrifice portability compared to a 12" X-series, LOL.

Both the X- and T-series are still the figureheads of the Thinkpad line and both look optical well, even I give here some small advantages due to the formfactor to the X-series.

I think this is a specialized Asian keyboard - if you look at pictures of the X60 on the Lenovo Canada site (mouse over the third picture on the left) http://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/, it looks like a regular X-Series keyboard - assuming this is actually an X60...
