    Hey, yeah - simply the blue button won't open the productivity center anymore.. which it did latest this week.
    I tried removing the whole thing and reinstalling; didn't work.

    Any help? Please.

    Also. I put Fn-F7 (screen mngr) to swap screen, and made that the automatic action when using the shortcut; now I regret - how do I remove this automated action, so I can again get the full meny of actions?

    :confused: :mad:

    Help is very very much appreciated.
    Cheers

    Have you tried running ThinkVantage System Update? It will display a lot of updated software for your system, perhaps a newer version of the software you need, and upgrade it in place if you choose.

    For some odd reason, I lost my UltraNav functions last week --did all my system updates, and since there was an updated UltraNav driver, it restored functionality.

    Yes, various kinds of updates and reinstalls..

    I feel now I could put a bet on vista update being the problem;
    my standard .avi player is VLC, but now it's WMP .. and I can't change it! Even if I choose "open with" and select VLC to be standard. .well then it just won't open the file.

    Ach...

    Have you tried using System Restore to go back to an earlier time period? Worth a try if you haven't.

    No,
    .. that would maybe mess up windows more than it is? Or, actually that is not too easy; it's properly messed up already.

    So is it 'recommended' to undo the last windows update then?

    It can't hurt at this point. Find a restore point prior to the time your ThinkVantage button stopped working and restore to it. It may take care of things for you.
