I do my backup using ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery connected to my external hard disk, it finished correctly... I think... so I take a look at the contents of my external hard disk, and the backup is nowhere to be found, where is it? It looks like the backup was successful because there is less free space on my external.

It's probably hidden. Try a restore while connected to the hard drive, and choose to restore from the external hard drive.

Even when I show hidden files, it doesn't appear anywhere, does yours appear somewhere? Thanks!

Yeah, it threw me off as well. If you go to folder options (hit alt in vista to get tools to show up) and then under view click "hide protected OS files" It threw me off as well. I would look at the empty directory and it would be 10 gigs... open it up, and there was nothing.
