    Hey folks,

I'm in the process of figuring out Lenovo's ThinkVantage software, and there are some things I'm struggling with. If there's a good guide somewhere, maybe that's all I need, but I didn't find one easily.

    So, two questions:

    1. I ran a backup via "Rescue and Restore" and saved it to my partition. It took hours and it's huge -- probably the same size as the data it was backing up! Is there no way to compress this? Do others use this? Do you use the hard drive or optical discs?

    2. The "Client Security Setup Wizard" loads every time I start up the computer. At first I had the option to dismiss it, but now I have to press "Cancel" every time. I've read a bunch of negative reviews of CSS7, so I don't know ... do I want it? Do I have a choice? Is it intrusive? I'm not in the CIA and I don't carry around any other terribly sensitive data.

I hear all these raves about this software, I just wish it were a bit more intuitive.

    Thanks for any help,

    Chris

1.I don't use it at all. What I am doing is -- back up my important data regularly. When things go wrong, use the recovery CDs and copy the data back to the machine.
