This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    T61 on Vista Ultimate
    ..every time this downloads and installs it doesn't seem to work
    because the update doesn't go away :confused:

    probably because you downloaded the newer version of the update via windows update

    you can verify by downloading the update from lenovo directly (get the exe file) and run it yourself. This way you can see all the message, errors and progress instead of doing the quite install

    It did tell me that my version was newer than installed when I did that. You are correct sir, thank you :)
