    No, just Ctrl+shift+esc and look for the process "TpShocks.exe" I believe... it's a light utility...

    FYI, it only takes up 6912 K on my X61.

    Sp00n, are you sure you are not looking at TPHDEXLG.exe instead? That's the HDD logger module for the ThinkVantage Active Protection System.

    My system shows 644 K for this process (I guess I give it many shocks).

    Wow, that's quite a difference. I wonder why the difference is so big. What does your TPHDEXLG.exe say?

    Very big difference. I assume you have yours activated, in the the tray and with default settings?

    Anyone care to speculate as to why TPshocks is hogging so much memory on my system?

    My config:
    - X61
    - Vista 32bit
    - 2.0Ghz Core2Duo
    - 3 GB RAM
    - 120 GB HDD
