    Congratulations on your first post!

I would be very cautious purchasing this laptop because the laptop would not originally have come with the Vista Ultimate retail box pictured with laptop (I believe).

Also, I would request pictures of the laptop on and displaying its internal specifications.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your purchase!

Don't walk, run from any recent nVidia carded ThinkPad. If the GPU fails and the machine is out of warranty, Lenovo will do nothing for you. Even if it is, who wants to deal with the hassle. The T400 is a better machine. Plus you can get a less expensive one then do the upgrades yourself.

Why would this matter? How many people got their laptop with XP or a lower version of Vista and upgraded?

Does that mean Lenove will do something for you if you have an out of warranty machine that has a different GPU, Or are you just saying that a new machine is better because you have a warranty?

If you are out of waranty, lenovo will not replace any gpu

He mentioned this gpu, because the nvidia 8XXX series (in this case the FX570m) is known to have problems.

However, just becauseyou have that GPU doesn't mean it will fail. I have one, and it still works.
