Yeah, looks fugly if you ask me.
Just like the first EEE pc did with its huuuuge bezel.
I wonder if it was really so hard to make proper 10" laptop? Probably not, its all about sales, sales...
Still dreaming about core i powered 10" with trackpoint and solid build on a budget... :D

The keyboard is very nice on the mini 10 for a netbook, It would be in between $350 - $450. For budgeted i7 Thinkpad, you need to wait atleast 5-10 years, then you would want a i99 Thinkpad for a budget.

Not exactly, i think TimelineX series from Acer might change this, not sure if build material wise, but size+cpu+battery life could be quite good.

Oh and i didnt say i want Core i7 :p Any dual core "core" would be sufficient as long as its on budget :)

    It's a cute little mini-thinkpad! It's even got the little trackpoint! :D

I agree with FUGLY .... come on wy don't they leave the 11.6 inch screen in it? Even for school the 10.1 is too small. When is that rumoured Q1 up-date of the X100e coming ?

Its purpose is for the New South Wales government to distribute it for the public schools. Last year they distributed Lenovo S10's to all the year 9s in 2009. Now they have distributed Mini 10's to all year 9's in 2010. I would envy them if I didn't have this nice X200T.

(Note: I'm the Whirlpool user that spotted it ><). Interesting that it had a big fat bezel. I'm envious of their keyboard though.

Sure, keyboard and trackpoint is good, design is thinkpadish too, but that bezel and lack of proper dual core cpu with decent battery life is just huge disappointment. Im not saying that it bothers me too much since i cant be forced to buy things i dont like :p Also, i doubt mini 10 will be on sale @ lenovo.com enough of edge's there :D
