I'm looking to pickup a T410 or x201/201s in the next little while and am considering WWAN options. The Gobi card available on the configuration page is approximately $150 but I can also get the "Thinkpad 3G Broadband Card (43R9153)" from lenovo directly for about $80. I only need the GSM bands and don't really care about GPS.

Can anyone comment on the 43R9153 card? Are the only differences the inclusion of the CDMA bands and GPS? Does anyone know if it is locked to a carrier (I'm in Canada). Also, the T410/x201 are not listed as compatible machines, probably because this card is older. Should I be concerned about compatibility?

    Thanks!
