Is anyone using this card? Lenovo doesn't have a Win 7 driver for it, and the one Windows automatically installs flat out doesn't work (won't connect to any network).

I found one on opendrivers.com and it does work, but the signal shown is always low or wildly fluctuates. The actual signal is however strong because Tomato on the router shows the signal to the laptop is very strong. This fine at home, but when I'm elsewhere I won't be able to verify the actual signal.

    Anyone else have this problem?

Ok found this third party driver that works:

Beware, do not use 9.0.0.173, the meter will show poor reception always despite it being excellent. The one that works properly is 8.0.0.279:

I have this card on my T61p with Windows7 and it shows my driver provider as Atheros Communications Inc., with a date of 6/9/2009, driver version 2.0.0.75.

That's Interesting because that version is the one that wouldn't allow it to connect to any network.

Using driver version 7.6.1.237 from Atheros (4/9/2009) on Win7 64-bit on my T61. I'm pretty sure I got it from Lenovo, though it may have been a Vista driver. Works perfectly, though.
I also had some problems when I tried updating to the newer driver through Windows Update, so ended up rolling back to the original one I installed and no problems since. And I had to uncheck the option to 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' under Power Management to prevent the card from randomly powering down.
