    As anyone experienced this issue?

5/6 months after buying my first Thinkpad Bluetooth Laser Mouse, the buttons stopped being as responsive as usual. Sometimes, I had to click 3 times the left button, to make it work. Keeping the button pressed for a while didn't help either. Of course I tried repairing the mouse, turning it (and the computer) off/on a few times, replacing the batteries... nothing worked.

I thought that it could have been a defective mouse, so I bought another.
Unfortunately, after 5/6 months, the same happened to me. :(

I really love this mouse, but it seems it's not reliable.

Shame—though I imagine it’s still under warranty. I don’t own this mouse, but every mouse I’ve ever had has lasted me over five years.

Hmm, thats' weird. I have this mouse and love it. I haven't had any of the problems that you mentioned. I have had mine for about 6 months, hope I don't develop the problems you have.

Mine is always on, so my 5/6 months may not correspond to yours...

Yeah, I shut mine off every time I am done using my laptop. From using the mouse, it feels real solid and the clicking of the buttons have a loud click and good feedback. The weight is just right too for a smaller laptop mouse. That would suck if this is a wide spread problem. So what are you going to do now? You are still under warranty I would think so I think you can exchange for another one

Yes, the second mouse is still under warranty. Already got a replacement. Let's see how much time this one survives...

Interesting. Please report back and let us know if it fails as well. I have the mouse and hope it doesn't experience the same fate.

Mine just failed (left click) a couple of weeks out of the 1 year warranty. So I bought another. I do have the extended warranty with VISA, but man, what a pain to file a claim.
