    Hi, i've just bought a second hand Thinkpad Carbon X1, on start-up I have a black screen with a padlock in top left corner, and I have to enter the password- (which i have)....Now is this a locked BIOS? bcoz I want to boot from USB sometimes, and i cant. The 'F' Keys are at the top of the keyboard, but i cant get them to work. Please help? thanks in advance

    I'd ask for your money back if possible. If it is the supervisor password, it's a a security measure, so discussing methods of bypassing it, is prohibited here.
