Anyone know whether or not any of the Thinkpad DVD burners will burn onto both layers of a dual-layer disc?

Also, does anyone know the difference between the Multi-Burner Plus and the 8x DVD Recordable (besides a 100% cost difference)?

    Thanks,
    Howie

ThinkPad burners do not do DL. I think the Multi-Burner Plus is the super slim 9.5mm drive and only fits in the T series. They burn DVDs at 2x. If you can get your hands on a Panasonic UJ-832S, it will fit the slim bay on a T series. It burns DVD+/-R at 4x, DVD+/-RW at 2x, DVD-RAM at 3x, and DVD+R DL at 2x. eBay is probably your best shot at getting one.
