    Hi,

I have run the CPU test on my Lenovo Thinkpad edge E420(1141CTO) - i5 using PC-Doctor, and the MULTICORE test results is MISCONFIGURED ("Enable all CPU cores in the system BIOS") and that is only problem when I run the diagnostics. I checked the msconfig showing only 1 processor (should be 2 processors since it's Dual core), CPU history under Task Manager only showing One Graph, I have also check the BIOS config - Core Multi-processing is (ENABLE), Hyper-Threading Tech is ENABLE. Also I notice every time when I turn on my Laptop after the windows Logo the screen goes Black.

I just bought this machine 5 months ago. I have run the diagnostic before and the overall test are passed.

Is there anything we can do to fix this problem? Any suggestions or solutions to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Mhedz

In msconfig > boot > advanced options, make sure that the Number of processors is not selected.

My E420 was taking a minute and half to load up, go into msconfig, boot etc, like the last poster said, do selective start up and turn off some star up things that you do not need, also do a general search online i followed some tutorials on line and now my laptop boots between 45 seconds and 70 seconds.

Also get a sata 3 ssd.
