I have an E560 (20EV002JUS) with an FRU 01AW113 motherboard that recently died. I am looking for a replacement as it is now out of warranty. I was able to find an E560 motherboard (FRU 01AW112) which has the same processor, discrete graphics card etc. The only thing that is different is my current motherboard has a TPM chip whereas the new replacement motherboard doesn't. Would these motherboard be compatible? Would there be any major steps I would have to take to swap out these different model motherboards. (i.e. bios issues, hard drive swap issues, etc.)?
Additional background info:
I have taken laptops apart before and re-assembled them so I am pretty confident in being able to put everything together correctly I’m just worried about software issues and the encryption chip causing issues. I had a T61P which had defective Nvidia GPUs which would overheat and cause the motherboards to warp and crack over time, and I’ve taken other laptops apart before for deep cleaning and re-pasting to prevent overheating as I always go with discrete card setups.
I just graduated from college and don’t have a job in my field yet so my budget is tight and its cheaper to buy a replacement motherboard with a 90 day warranty rather than buying a whole new 15” laptop with discrete graphics and minimum 1080 resolution.

You will lose access to passwords, EFS disks, fingerprints and BitLocker drives. Your Windows install will be invalidated and you'll need to call MS to fix it. You will be fine if you don't have or care about the above listed things.
Windows activation is tied to your motherboard UUID and that is checked against MS Servers and is unrelated to TPM but I thought you should know.
