Has anyone tried the above laptops? If so, can they comment on the build quality? I've read mixed things. I really liked the Edge 13 - great machine, but there seems to be some difference in the build of these.

    Thanks.

its not bad. i like it. when i received it i was a little bit disappointed because the last thinkpad i used was the x120e and that seemed to have a more "authentic" thinkpad feel for its small size and low price. The e320 seems a little cheapish, like a downgraded thinkpad when i opened it but im ok with it now it now. nice chunky keys. the only thing i dont like is the touchpad because of the integrated mouse button is awkward to use but of course there is the trackpoint which is what made me buy this even more. it also has a msata slot onboard aswell which i nearly ordered wwan just to use but thought £120 more with a few extra uprades aswell (4gb from 2gb, professional instead of premium and of course the wwan) was not really worth it. had i wanted those upgrades it would of made it kind of worth it

i would give the product an 7/10
1 point lost for the touchpad having intraged mouse buttons instead on the usual 2.

1 point lost because the screen hinge doesnt fall 180 degrees and the light is not included or a 900p option.

and 1 point lost for not offering quadcore options because i have come to like to like this laptop alot. besides these things.

you might score it 6/10 because you may not have the dedicated amd 6630m graphics which i do and it must say it works brilliantly

so those are my 3 negatives from it not having a 10. it doesnt have usb3 but really i just do not use. it.

Sisqo, do you have it with the E-350? How is the performance looking in comparison to lets say HP8510 (office work, internet, movies)?

hi, the e 350 is only zacate. in internet and office its and video was fine. you will see it as impressive and it is a bit better than you might expect....for what it is but the 8510 is some what faster. with the graphics it kinda makes it uncomparable in terms of performance when coming down to intesive stuff.
fortunately i have owned both the 8510p and w. tho out of date tech. the performance it gave at the time was far greater. it be kind of a step backwards for you if you inted to use it is like a main laptop. if you wanted it as a second. get it like in the 11.6 screen. its more justifiable for the performance. i liked it well in the x120e and used it as a main for a few months. but i had to let it go because i did fancy playing some games at better settings but something just as small hence me with the edge e320.

to put it in another perspective. it be like going back to the hp nw8240 with a pentium m 780 and nc8430/mw8440s x1600 graphics power but the just a little bit better because it is current. but thats not that bad if its a 11.6 notebook
