Firefox does not seem to be compatible with the Thinkpad Password Manger --> or is it the other way around?

The Password Manager works flawlessly with IE but with firefox... the utility only sees the browser as one field. I would love to use firefox but i am torn.

    Thanks,
    BankBen

hey BankBen, moving to Lenovo / IBM because there's more ThinkPad owners here. I'm 99% sure that the Password Manager simply does not work with Firefox, I've tried it in the past and had no luck and don't believe there is any software update for this -- nor any planned, maybe when Vista comes out in a year. You can always use the built-in password "remember" utility in FireFox of course.

    Thanks for your reply...

--> That is just too bad, i really liked to use firefox on my old notebook. I guess i am stuck with IE for now. Just for further knowledge, do you know why the password manager sees firefox as just one field? Is it firefox's code?

This seemed to be the closest article i could find relating the Thinkpad Fingerprint reader with firefox... Im not exactly sure what this does. Maybe someone can elaborate.

    http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/x60.ars/3

--> There has been sucess with the MS fingerprint reader and firefox... something called FingerFox? http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fredoneill.free.fr%2Ffingerfox%2F&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=fr&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
Is there a way to use the IBM fingerprint reader as well?
