Just looking at the Thinkpad accidental protection. Looks decent for 3 years for about 15 cents a day.
I'm just wondering if they will cover battery failure down the road
-
battery is covered for one year.

the battery is not in the accidental protection is it? I might just go ahead with the normal warranty and upgrade to 2 or 3 years
-
Most companies only warranty the battery for one year, even with extended or accidental coverage warranties. I had my Dell battery go out after 13 months (with heavy use) and ended up replacing it on eBay for about $60, although with the LG fire this may have gone up. Either way, the battery is a consumable and thus not covered by standard warranties AFAIK, which is fair enough...

Thanks for that info, Adaptive. I usually baby my notebook so I don't think I need extended warranty.
