    Hi,

I just bought a thinkpad R400, it's in the mail. I'll need a car charger for it. Im also getting a RAM laptop mount for my truck if that makes any difference. Whats a good charger to get?? I have no idea which one to choose. It would help if Amazon carries it, so I can order it the same time I order this mount. Thanks for looking! :)

Lenovo makes an AC adapter with a car charger. The part number is 41N8460. Amazon carries it, but oddly it's cheaper on Lenovo's site. Cheapest way to get it is probably on eBay with Live.com cashback.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping there was a less expensive alternative than spending $100 + ?? Is there another model that would work just as well, known to fit the R400, that wouldn't cause any problems? Thanks.

If there is nothing else available at a reasonable price that will charge this laptop in the car, please let me know now so I can refuse delivery of this laptop. :(

Once it ships you must pay the 15% restocking fee. What's wrong with eBay with the Live.com cashback? It's probably $50.

There isn't cashback anymore :(. It went from 30-15% over the last week-2weeks and now it is gone.

I just did a search which came back with an 8% cashback offer through Live. Looks like some parts of it are still there, although nothing as large as it was recently.

Seems like it showed back up for 8% today.
