I posted at thinkpads.com nobody seems to know. Maybe smoebody here will. Just got a used r40e off ebay. Need an ac adapter. Already have the kensington universal black ac adapter 120w. Does anybody know the voltage of the N2 tip. Will this work for rmy r40e. Says IBM but doesn't say which ones.

Will that tip do. Anybody use N2 before. Thanks.
-
Yeah, that'll work. I've used it before.
-
Ok, thanks I'll go ahead and give it a try. Was it also an r40e you used it with or was it another model?
-
The T42 specified in my sig.
-
But T42 is same voltage?
-
Yeah, it has the same power requirements as the R40e:

Check out the power sections. -
That first link says r50e not 40e. But I'll take your word for it. Already ordered.
-
Sorry, link for R40e:

Output is the same but input is slightly different on both. Or that doesn't matter as long as output is the same.
-
No idea about input.
