I have a Thinkpad R51 laptop. It came with two batteries when I first got it two years ago. Sad thing is, 1 battery completed died on me about 2 months ago and it won't charge. The other battery which I use maybe gets 1 hour maximum battery life. Is there anything that I can do?

If not, can someone point me in the right direction where I can find a replacement battery for cheap? Whats the best option I have for long battery life? Thanks.

Batteries start to degrade as soon as they are made. It's what they do. Two years isn't bad. They make a nine cell and modular batteries for the R51 if you want to maximize your time.

Ebay. About $50 for a new 9-cell. Got one a while back and it works great.

Your best bet is to get a new battery from ebay
