    Hi,

my wireless connection appears to be dropping every so often. The wireless LED will suddenly just go off at random and my internet surfing comes to a halt. After about 10-15 secs it then comes back on and everything seems to be ok again.

During this time however the wireless computer icon in the toolbar indicates that I'm still connected to the network.

Any ideas? Is my network card failing? All of my drivers are up to date and I've just re-installed XP a few weeks ago (problem was occurring before reinstall). I dont think its the router as my other laptop works fine.

    Any thoughts are much appreciated!

It could be failing. You've turned off power saving on the card? How's your battery looking these days? Lenovo has some diagnostic software. It might be worth a look. You can also try a Linux disc to see if works. If it does, then it's probably a software issue. If not, then a hardware issue seems more likely. A new card should be pretty cheap on eBay. Just make sure you get a Lenovo branded card as it otherwise won't boot.
