Is the build quality of R61 comparable to the T series? I have used a T60 and was very impressed, but I can get a very good students deal on a R61 but in the past, I was told that the R series isn't really all that good? How about noise? I found the T60 (with ATI X1400) to be rather too noisy...

    Specifically I'm looking at Core 2 Duo T7300 (2x 2.00GHz), 1024MB (NF26V) 120GB, DVD±RW, Gigabit-LAN, WLAN, nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M, 15.4" (1680x1050)

Anything with dedicated graphics will run warmer (and hence noisier).

Well I would prefer Intel Shared Graphics but those don't seem to be available with WSXGA+, as for the noise on the T60 rumours are something's somewhat wrong with the construction of the cooling system...
