    Hi,

The sound was working perfectly until I muted it one time. When I unmuted it, I couldn't get the sound to work again. I've checked audio drivers, etc. and everything's working.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Does restarting bring the sound back?

Very sorry for the delay in responding.

No, restarting has no effect on the sound.

did you ever figure this out? my wife's R61 the sound stopped working. It was right after a vista update. I worked on it while we were in the hospital (my wife and I had a baby boy) and I had to go back using system restore to get the sound back. Now i have a problem where the sound display shows up every once in a while when you open a program or browser. let me know if you figured it out.
