Hi everyone, I've got some questions regarding the S30, since I've recently been offered one at a decent price.

    1. How hard is it to locate a US keyboard, and fit it into the computer by myself? (I don't like the Japanese one which is quite worn out)

    2. How hard is it to replace the mini PCI card with a WLAN card? I know I can fit a PC Card Wireless adapter, but I'd prefer not to.

    3. How well does XP run on the S30? Though I definitely won't be using this as my primary computer, I want to be able to work with it. The system is at its max 256MB RAM. How would it compare to a 1.4GHz Celeron M?

Thanks for any insights you could give.

A clean install of xp will run well on the s30. It has a 600mhz pentium III so that'll be ~35% of the speed of the 1.4 ghz celeron m. As long as things are basic it will be fine.

Ok, sounds good, even though my Celeron M isn't exactly fast either, though I'll replace that soon anyway.

Do you happen to know whether I need anything apart from the system itself and an external CD-ROM drive to do a clean install? There aren't any CDs or manuals coming with it, so I want to be sure that a clean install is possible without them, before I buy it.
