I live in Palo Alto, CA and I was wondering if there are any stores in the area that will allow me to see thinkpads. I am particularly interested in Z60t, Z60m, and T60's.

Well, I'm about 1600 miles from from the Palo Alto. Some college bookstores carry ThinkPads. That might be another avenue.

Look in yellow pages for a notebook specialty shop. Not the big box stores.

And if you take a lot of time there and get help, pay them the exta 10%+tax compared to the online deal.... the service will be worth it, not to mention you will get a better deal the next time as a repeat customer.

I know UC Davis' bookstore carries a Thinkpad T60 model. I just saw it last week.
