Was cleaning out my room before I go back to school tommorrow, and found my old Thinkpad T20, I didn't even have a charger so I couldn't turn it on, I picked up my WD external Hardrive power supply which is working at the moment, trying to revive the hardrive with Hirens Boot CD at the moment, it's really excited since it's just so different to my other computers. Thought I'd share that with you all :D

The matte screen is really intriguing as I've not used one for over 6 years. :p

No, keep getting bluescreens, even tried replacing the hardrive with my other 4 to test, none worked out unfortunately so I gave up for now.

I think that those have an issue with the RAM slots dying. Could try swapping RAM sticks from slot to slot and seeing if that helps.

I just dug my T21 out of the closet a short while ago. I'll take it out and play around with it from time to time, too.

What is the STOP error code on the BSOD?

Had to disable automatic restart on system failure to get the STOP code, but it is: 0x000000ED (0x81B75A68, 0XC000009C, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) "Unmountable_Boot_Volume"

Swapping the RAM chips didn't do anything.

Have you tried simply using a Windows Recovery disk and running chkdsk?

Many signs point to an error with corrupt files or needing a service pack update.

Oh, I just searched the entire code, no wonder.
So after entering into the Recovery console, and attempting to "chkdsk /r" I get a message saying "The volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems."

The computer thinks the disk is bad-on first glance. The trouble is that a generic message. It could be memory or the disk or thingd "in-between".

I'm pretty sure when I used SeaTools off Hirens Boot CD it showed 4 errors, I couldn't see what the errors were though, or I just didn't look at the report.
