    Hello all,
So, I have a T400 that is approaching a couple of years old. I would like to go from Vista to 7. I do not like the idea of upgrading and am leaning towards wiping the HD and installing 7 fresh. I can get my docs and files over, but I am wondering about lenovo specific items. Should I treat this as a 'clean install' and look to the guides here for getting the drivers and such that I need? Or, once 7 is on, will I be able to get the drivers from the lenovo site?

Coupled with this, of course, is the perennial question of which lenovo-specific software is worth keeping?

    Thanks
    Tony

i would go for fresh install. u can find all drivers on lenovo site and also what u consider form lenovo software.
basically i kept on my thinkpad only the camera software, the power manager software, the hotkey software and the lenovo interface driver software.
    good luck!

ps dont forget to back up all needed data from your hard drive...... :)
