sorry to say it, but this web site is total crap. not only did they spread false information before, but the link you've given is just an edit of the news from lenovoblogs. what's worse, they don't give credit to neither the images they used nor the source of the news. really bad journalism, if at all...

    The T410 and T410s have 16:10 screens.

What are you talking about? The T410 and T410s will use 16:10 panels (I guess those crappy panels they're using now). As for the other models: good luck getting a different business class notebook with 16:10 ratio.

Really will they not use a new and improved screen ... oh hang on I am dreaming ... better wake myself up ! I am in the market for a T400 T400s or the new T410 and I will add to that the new X100e to travel. I looked at all the other brands (keep in mind I loathe HP !) and I cannot find any other decent MATTE screen notebook. That is a sad state of affairs. I do not like DELL and HP so I guess the choice is limited. My Sony Vaio from 2001 has a better matte screen than some of Lenovo models ... one wonders WHY ?

in 2001 IBM released a 22.2 inch LCD T221 with WUQXA resolution, and little later the Thinkpad R50p (for some corporation) with QXGA 15 inch Flexiview screen....

And decade later, all these screens are no longer available to the mass market.... penny pinching have overtaken innovation in most of the laptop market.... Your Thinkpad could be made by the same contract company as the Macbook Pro, Dell Latitude or HP Elitebook....

If you don't mind my asking, what kind of deal did you get on the T400s?
    I'm in the market for a 400 or 400s.

    Thanks,

    Erin
