I have a thinkpad T410 2516-ADU and an onboard thinkpad wireless adapter wich doesnt work uinder Ubuntu. I did a little research and found out that the Intel 6200 (60Y3231) and the Intel 6300 (60Y3233) work grreat under Linux. I had a T400 with an Intel card it it worked great with a lot of Linux distros. Now I wanna buy this 6200 card wich is about 10-20$ on the net but it looks bit shorter then the place where it supposed to go on my T410. The holes for the screws are way to far from the slot, making me think that I need a taller card. Lenovo has this one listed as compatible, but I'm not realy sure how its suposed to fit. Here's two pics from the the card and the back of my T410 for comparison.

the slot on the left covered by the sticker is where the card is suposed to go. Also exept the two scres that go in, am I suposed to attach some wires for the antenas?

You need a half height bracket, like this.

Looks like that the wi-fi card is actually under the keyboard

Yeah the Wi-Fi Mini PCI-e slot is underneath the keyboard, you don't really need the half height bracket on the T410. But do ensure the Wi-Fi card you bought is the Lenovo version and not for other OEMs (HP, Toshiba, Dell etc.) since Lenovo implements a vendor lock that prevents unauthorised cards to work.
Though you can circumvent that problem by installing a modified T410 BIOS with the "whitelist" removed thus giving you no restrictions on what Wi-Fi card you choose to install in the end. -
Thinkpad T410 and upgrade to Intel 6200/6300
