I wonder if you guys having Thinkpad T42 CDRW/DVD-ROM combo have this kind of problem. My CDRW/DVD-ROM combo can not recognize CDRW disks burned by other CD burner. It always show an error message like "windows can not use this disk......" If I choose to format the disk, I can write files into the CDRW disk. However, these files become read-only. Does anyone know what is going on???
    :(

How is the CDRW written? With DLA, Roxio's CD Direct or Nero's InCD? If you are using different software for the direct access file type (drive letter access), then it may not be readable from one machine to another.

If you burn it like a CD-R, then it is read only until you rewrite the whole thing.
