    Dear Thinkpadders,

I am owner of Thinkpad t420 and now I want to upgrade my laptop with the following

    1) Crucial Technology m4 256GB SATA 6Gb/s 2.5" SSD Internal Solid State Drive

    2) Corsair 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 SODIMM Memory Kit (CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9)

I will be in UK for two weeks, I would like to buy either online which can shipped to london or from any shop in london (if I will get good price and warranty).

Until now I am getting it from EBAY, I compare and I have to admit that ebay US is much cheaper then ebay UK.

Also if anyone will also point me where I can get lenovo accessories in uk either online or from shop. I will thankful

I lived in Middleeast where the shipping is costing too much and most of the online re-seller don't ship here.

    Appreciate your help and guidance

    Thanks & Best Regards
    M.Nasim

I ordered mine from crucial official UK website. The RAM has been working fine for over a year.

I'd like to warn you that the M4 256GB and M4 512GB models have a higher failure rate than the M4 64GB and M4 128GB models, possibly due to the 8k page size and controller algorithms (see newegg US reviews if you don't believe me). Two (2) out of three (3) M4 512GB's failed in my hand.

Get Samsung 830 or Plextor M3/M5 instead, if you are looking for one with 256GB or 512GB capacity.

I have the Corsair 16GB kit in my T420 and it works fine, you can get them from eBuyer for £64.52. Alternatively you can get two Kingston 8GB 1333MHz SODIMM RAM from the same store for around £56. Both sets offer lifetime warranty, should you go back to the Middle East don't forget to claim the VAT back at customs to save even more money (though check with retailer on Tax Free Shopping schemes if they offer it).

    Hi Hearst,

Thanks for your feedback, after snipper reply and based on reviews I am thinking for Samsung 830 256gb.

Any advice where should I order it, should have good shipping, warranty and reasonable price :)
