    Hey guys,
I'm using the T43 i just got, and its battery only lasts about an hour, and i like to keep a charger downstairs, one on the couch, and one at my desk. (i obtained them thru various laptops)
my ? is, the adapter for my IdeaPad is rated at 19v and 3.42a vs the original adapter which is rated at 16v and 4.5a..
can i use the ideapad adapter at my desk? will it harm my laptop?
is the only problem that the adapter might heat up?
    Thx

You would need to use the original IBM adapter with the 16 v rating, otherwise you will short circuit your laptop. Also ideapad adapter is actually an ASUS adapter, some Acer also use it.
