I am going to buy T440p. I would like your opinions on this configuration. The following is my config.
I am totally new to PC world.
    • Intel Core i5-4330M Processor (3MB Cache, up to 3.50GHz)
    • Windows 7 Professional 64
    • Windows 7 Professional 64 English
    • 14.0" HD+ (1600 x 900), Mobile Broadband Ready
    • NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M 1GB
    • 8GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600MHz SODIMM
    • Keyboard Backlit - US English
    • Fingerprint Reader
    • 720p HD Camera
    • 500GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm, 2.5"
    • DVD Recordable
    • Smart Card Reader
    • 6 Cell Li-Ion Cylindrical Battery 56.16Wh
    • 90W AC Adapter - AG
    • Intel Dual Band Wireless 7260AC with Bluetooth 4.0
    • Integrated Mobile Broadband upgradable
    • Publication - US English
    • 1 Year Depot or Carry-in
    1. Is the processor going to use all those 8GB memory? (I know you will laugh but I know nothing about memory and processor)
    2. Does Intel Dual Band Wireless 7260AC with Bluetooth 4.0 work with N channel from my router?
    3. Last but not least, what is DVD recordable?

I googled all questions I asked here, but no answers enlightened me. Please answer the above questions and tell me what you think about the above configuration.

    Thanks in advance

DVD recordable is a read/write optical drive. RAM will depend on your applications. But with that much CPU power, 8 GB is a decent amount of RAM. Esp. with the GT 730M. The Intel AC 7260 = 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n.

I like the config. But would prefer an SSD.

I'd pass on the 1600x900 TN panel and go for the 1920x1080 IPS one. Everything else is really not a big deal.

    My $0.02 only...
