    Thinkpad T440s 48Whr vs 72Whr

    So I noticed on the Lenovo Canada site that the default battery size is the 3-cell. Upgrading to the 48Whr 6-cell is -$5, and to the 72Whr 6-cell is +$5.

    Does anybody have info on the size and weight differences between these two batteries? I'm curious about whether or not the 48Whr battery sticks out as much from the bottom as the 72Whr one does.

    I'm interested in this as well. I noticed the option appearing some time in the last few days, although I ended up sticking with the 3-cell battery out of weight concerns. All pictures and reviews online seem to be of the 72 Whr 6-cell battery and not of the new 48 Whr battery.

    The 48-Wh has been offered in other markets for sometime. It is identical in size to the 72Wh.

    It's there in PSREF iirc. This was hashed out when the model was released and confirmed. I too wanted to a smalled extended battery than what it is, but they are in fact the same size..
