I recently got a Thinkpad T440s that came with Windows 7 Pro installed. There is a sticker that says Windows 8 Pro but I cannot find a key anywhere. Do I upgrade to Windows 8.1 by clean installing or is there a special way to do it? I have a legitimate Windows 8.1 license that I bought separately, will it work?

There is no key. The sticker just identifies the machine as W8 capable. Key - if any - would be embedded in BIOS

Clean install all the way, and your license should work just fine.

I was able to successfully clean install Windows 8.1 with the ISO I got from DreamSpark. I've downloaded numerous software packages from Lenovo's website and still cannot find the Battery/Power Management software. Where can I get Lenovo's Software Suite for Windows 8.1? Specifically the Power Management Software.

Power Manager is NOT available for W8.x

People have been hacking older versions with varying degrees of success.

    Good luck.
