    Hi,

I recently installed a 120GB m.2 2242 ssd in my t450s and it works perfectly.
My question is can I transfer my files and software to that new m.2 drive then wipe and reinstall windows 10 on the main 2.5" SSD that came with the laptop while leaving the m.2 drive alone?

Another way of wording it: Reformating the 2.5" SSD while the m.2 drive is in the laptop will not effect that m.2 drive correct?

    Thanks for the help

You should look into partition cloning (I suggest finding a linux thumb drive that can help you). There are many free ones out there. Make sure you test to see everything works well before deleting everything off your 2.5" SSD.
