    Im looking to purchase the Thinkpad T60 Laptop - UT0FVUK very soon,

    But I can find the rpm speed for the HDD anywhere, ideally im after 7200rpm, does anyone know the rpm HDD speed for this machine. Many Thanks

    The US site does not deliver to the UK. Most likely it is a 5400RPM drive.

    They would let you know if it was a 7200 RPM hard drive.

    This is the same unit I'm looking at..despite being a topseller it's still overpriced of course but it's the only unit really worth having currently. Oh the lack of choice in this country! :(

    Re. 7200rpm - Just buy the drive you want and use something like the Clone option of Acronis True Image if you can hook it up. Not sure if there are any 2.5" SATA to USB enclosures.

    p.s do the drives have to be the same size if your cloning from an old drive to a new drive?

    I've only ever done same size clones but looking at the help docs with TI, the manual resizing options look flexible. So I doubt you have problems.
