    Thinkpad T60 does not shutdown (power-off)

    I am Brazilian and am using a translation software. It forgives for the errors.

    My Thinkpad T60 is not power-off. He ON automatically after approximately 2 seconds, after being off. :mad:

    Whenever I shutdown, it on again.

    Help me!

    Thinkpad T60 – 1951-BW5
    Windows XP Prefessional

    I have a T60 and several other Laptops. Sometimes computers do not shut-down automatically because of a program that is closing-out due using memory.

    2 seconds, 1-1 Thousand, 2-1 Thousand, then Not Bad!!

    I am not the expert. Be patient there are very knowledgeble people on this forum so others will jump-in.

    1. Always close your programs via the the "X"
    2. You may have some Data Miners (using memory/running) - Spyware.
    3. If it's not where you having to Hold-Down the Power Key or Remove the Battery, then again Not To Bad!!

    If it is 2 mintues (which you may mean) then I would be looking into the programs running or O/S re-install. Or just try Windows Automatic updates.

    Anyway 2 second Shot-Down, you are Good!

    The hour and the date of the time system in when it is modified also!
