My T61 is finally being shipped, and I want to get a surge protector before it arrives. I planning on getting a APC SurgeArrest Notebook protector but need to know how many pins (2 or 3) connect to the power adapter. Any help here?

Also, if anyone knows of an even better travel-sized surge protector, I'd appreciate the suggestions. I'll be taking my laptop with me everyday, so something small and easy to use.

if you are asking whether or not the travel adapter has a ground pin, it doesnt. It is a standard two prong plug

My question is not about the pins that plug into the wall. There are inline surge protectors that directly plug into the power adapter. Most power adapters have detachable power cords for this purpose. My question is about the pin connector on the power adaptor itself.

Panteedropper, thanks for the response nonetheless.

ohh ok, in that case, that end has two female ends that plug into the two pins on the power module.
