My Thinkpad T61 is having problems sleeping.
At first I had it sleep when I closed the lid, but than almost every time i did, the screen would go off, and it would not go to sleep. So i changed it so i had to push the sleep + Fn key to make it sleep. Now every once in a while, I get the same problem where it would start to go to sleep, but than the 'moon' light would not light up, and it would seem as if the laptop just had its screen off but was on. I tried to revive it, but the only way to get back, is to turn it off by holding the power switch, and then turning it back on. How do i solve this problem?

I believe its a vista issues, happens to me almost all the time. I have found steam is sometimes the culprit.

Do you run the Media Center? I had that and there's a thing in there to have it not sleep. That's what did it for me.

    Hi,

I had the same problem and 100% solved it. When it happened to me was normally during times of high WiFi activity. The wireless light would stay on and the machine would hang indefinately although still with occasional hard drive activity.

Updating the drivers for the Intel 4965AGN Wireless card has sorted it.

    HTH.

Waw - I have experienced the same problem - but now, after turning off the radio, it works (I mean, the laptop stops working and is sleeping like a kid ;))
Now I only need to download drivers.

    Thanks and reps to you.
