I ordered my T61 on 5/13. It came in yesterday after alot of waiting. So far I'm thrilled with it (especially compared to my previous 2003 Dell Lat. D800), but there is one weird thing. Before I even downloaded anything up until now, I am getting odd spyware page loads every hour or so. A webpage will open talking about "debt-refinancing" or something like that. Ive downloaded spybot S&D and Ad-aware. Neither can get rid of this problem. I am almost positive my computer came with this flaw built in. has anyone else seen this?

Why don't you do a clean install, if your new notebook came with OEM install cds?

Unfortunately, the T61 comes with a recovery partition rather than a CD. if the spyware program is built in on the factory image, then it might not make a differencem right?
