Rather than tossing it I was wondering about how much it would cost to get the screen replaced? Should I send back to Lenovo or is there a 3rd party I could send it to to get replaced for cheaper?
Thanks

Or could I replace it myself? I've swapped out hard drives, ram, ect...is it difficult?
Thanks -
It's a bit more involved than replacing RAM or an HDD, but it's still doable. I'm not sure whether you have the 14.1" 4:3, the 14.1" 16:10, or the 15.4" T61, but this link should show you to the hardware manual for your specific model:

Just take your time and make sure to separate your screws. Replacement screens shouldn't be too too expensive. -
