I wanted to get rid of the hidden partition on the Thinkpad and free up some space... but Partition Magic won't read it. When I boot to Partition Magic, I get "ERROR #105" where my hard disk should be and I can't remove that space.

I used another program (Partition Commander) to partition my hdd (no errors and I can see the partitions fine), but I still can't remove the hidden partition (Partition Commander just exits out without doing anything).

    Any suggestions? TiA

    Hi everyone,

I have recently deleted the hidden partition on my t61 and want it back. Does anyone know if its possible to restore the partition to factory settings? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you make restore dvds/cds before you deleted the partition? If so you should be able to use those to restore your hidden partition (it may require you to do a complete restore I am not positive on this point.) If you did not make the restore discs then you should contact lenovo and inquire about getting some

    Thank you.

edit: I recommend contacting Lenovo Tech Support (not Customer Service) and inquiring about recovery discs.
