I wanted to get rid of the hidden partition on the Thinkpad and free up some space... but Partition Magic won't read it. When I boot to Partition Magic, I get "ERROR #105" where my hard disk should be and I can't remove that space.
I used another program (Partition Commander) to partition my hdd (no errors and I can see the partitions fine), but I still can't remove the hidden partition (Partition Commander just exits out without doing anything).
Any suggestions? TiA

This guide for getting rid of the hidden partition will work:

Yet another way is to burn a bootable Knoppix CD on another machine, boot it, and then use gparted once you're in:

http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
Knoppix can come in handy anyway if your Windows system gets messed up for any reason. -
Hi everyone,
I have recently deleted the hidden partition on my t61 and want it back. Does anyone know if its possible to restore the partition to factory settings? Any help would be appreciated. -

Hey Tobius,
I didn't make restore discs unfortunately, thanks for the recommendation.
I will get on the Lenovo forums -

edit: I recommend contacting Lenovo Tech Support (not Customer Service) and inquiring about recovery discs.
