Does anyone with a color calibrated Thinkpad T61P display be able to share the ICC profile? I am using the display with factory settings and find the colors way off from other monitors. They mostly appear to be more blue'ish. I looked at the below thread for WSXGA screen but haven't found a similar one for WUXGA T61P screen - http://forum.notebookreview.com/len...61p-wsxga-color-calibration-icc-download.html

Also, what are the best tools around for color calibration? I see suggestions on Spyder3 or Huey, any reccommendation on the tool would be of great help too.

Buy Eye One Display 2. The best tool for that job. Spyder and Huey are the toys, don't even look at that. Once you get calibration device, you can use it for all your computer screens with great results.

Calibrated laptop display is better than not-calibrated one but remember that this is still TN display type with no options to change RGB gain like in good monitors (for instance EIZO) so laptop calibration is not "the proper calibration" as you can't change the gain during this process.

Colors after caliubration are better, but laptop screen is no able to display good blacks etc.

Unofirtunately, using someones ICC screen profile is not the best solution - every screen is different, with different characteristics.

I work with photos but have Eizo screen hooked up via docking station, and I still work on thinkpad with great display :)
