Okay, is no one else but me really excited about this new "Thinkpad"? :)

I mean, really, one look at that optional bluetooth keyboard with Trackpoint and I was sold. Holy cow, a Thinkpad Keyboard?? You know how long I've wanted one of those!

I even use a very old lenovo keyboard with trackpoint on my desktop computer, I've always felt much more productive with the little red nubby guy. I couldn't get my order in fast enough!

Don“t forget that it is not the same keyboard as on T/W/X/L-Series. This one has less travel.

Also, this is not a real trackpoint. It is a so called "Optical Trackpoint". It acts like a touchpad.

If you want a real Trackpoint, then take a look on the ThinkPad Helix.

It's hard to be excited about the keyboard of the device that does not have it. And if talking about optional accessories, I'm sure the good old 55Y9003 can be used too, and is better in all departments, including key travel or TrackPoint, except, of course, wireless connectivity (as if you could travel far away from 10" screen :) ).

At least that was the case with Thinkpad Tablet 1, Android based - the keyboard accessory, while good in theory and expensive, had many issues.

I use the 55Y9003 as my primary keyboard on my desktop now, LOVE the keyboard as I do all my Thinkpads. Have tried to use keyboards without the trackpoint and have not had much luck. That's too bad about the "Optical Trackpoint" deal, not sure what that is, but I'll know soon enough :)

May just get another 55Y9003, not a real big deal to plug it in if need be.
