Got some problem which I can't pinpoint to what exactly is it with my x230 ( just shuts itself off at random moments, no overheating issues, everything is clean, no pattern as to why it does it etc,has been doing this for past 4-5months..)
I see my device still has got 109days of warranty left on it so I think I should try and get the lenovo to sort it out?

I have never claimed anything on warranty before so not sure what the process even is?
maybe anyone has claimed with lenovo before and can share?
I'm in UK, and I bought this laptop off of someone when it was nearly-new (just 16hours of usage...so as new) ,is my warranty still valid since I didn't bought the laptop myself and have no proof of purchase?

also what happens if they take it up the warranty, do they take the laptop away to inspect? for how long? It's my main work station btw so it would suck to be without it for even few days..
    Thanks.

Call them. Can't link further, it automatically chooses my regional page instead of UK version.

I'm pretty sure your laptop should have NBD onsite warranty. So look at support.lenovo.com/warrantylookup it should show if laptop has NBD or depot repair.

If it has NBD warranty it means Next Business Day - after you call them and describe the problem, next day a tech should ring the doorbell with spare part(s) that should fix the problem.

My experience (in the USA, with next business day onsite warranty and accident coverage) when I had an issue with my W530 a month after release:

I called Lenovo's tech support number. After running me through a few things, the rep had me run a Lenovo-provided remote control program and remotely checked my drivers. Then, once the rep had established there was no software problem, he said they'd send a box to ship my system to the depot. The box arrived the next day. The depot took a very long time with my system, and after a month or so, they gave up on fixing it and sent me a new one instead. The replacement has been working well for over 4 years now.
